What was Managed by NOTS?

Managed by NOTS is/was a service where I (Jacob Kauffmann, the Nerd on the Street) would set up and maintain servers for a small monthly fee-- previously $20/month for personal projects and $50/month for small business projects.

Why aren't you accepting new clients right now?

I currently have a full-time job, and the time investment (and legal liability) of providing qualiy service to individual people and businesses is not currently worth the additional income it brought me under my previous pricing scheme. I would rather spend my free time making video content to help larger numbers of people with their technology, and enjoying other aspects of my life while living off of my normal income.

I may re-introduce Managed by NOTS in the future if I need the additional income, have the necessary time, and figure out a way to monetize it in a less exploitable manner.

While a small number of clients caused me to close Managed by NOTS by scope-creeping their agreements with me, most of my clients were a pleasure to work with, and I thank everyone who patronized Managed by NOTS while it operated before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
